Lionel Messi scored 4 goals against Eibar in a 6-1 victory on Tuesday. However, this isn’t the first time the magic man accomplished this feat.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Lionel Messi had another great performance. This time, the Argentinian superstar netted not one, not two, not three, but four goals against Eibar on Tuesday night in Camp Nou. The match ended in a 6-1 victory for Messi and his Barcelona teammates as they continue their great starting form this season. This isn’t the first time Barca’s number 10 scored four in one match. After all, the genius has been at work for a long time when it comes to Lionel Messi.

2010 Champions League Quarterfinals vs. Arsenal

Barcelona were facing elimination in the 2010 Champions League knockout stages when Arsenal grabbed an early away goal at Camp Nou. However, thanks to Lionel Messi’s three first half goals, Barca were dominating the second leg. In addition to that, he capped off his stellar night with a fourth goal and Barca advanced to the semifinals.

2012 La Liga vs. Valencia

After Valencia took an early lead against the Blaugrana, Lionel Messi decided that he had seen enough. He began to take apart Valencia with a goal in the first half to level the score. Then, Messi scored 3 goals in a 7 minute span late in the second half to see off a formidable La Liga foe. Once again, it was a genius at work.

2012 La Liga vs. Espanyol

Espanyol are Barcelona’s biggest local rival, so of course you have to perform well to continue the dominance of this tie. Messi did just that for the Blaugrana. The match ended in a 4-0 victory for Barca and guess who scored all four goals? The legendary Messi. It was a bittersweet match for Barca’s manager that day. This was the day Pep Guardiola coached his final home match for Barca.

2013 La Liga vs. Osasuna

Messi scored to open the match, but the opponents Osasuna managed to equalize later in the first half. After a second goal in the first half, the Argentinian scored twice in a three-minute span in the second half. Another match with four goals for the greatest footballer on the planet.

Overall, this match against Eibar isn’t the first great match we’ve seen from Messi. Of course, it won’t be the last either because he still has a lot of great matches in him. Hopefully, the run of insane form continues for him and for the Blaugrana.
