Jose Arnaiz Happy to Score On His Barcelona Debut

Barcelona B team star Jose Arnaiz scored on his first team debut for the Blaugrana in a 3-0 victory over Real Murcia in Copa Del Rey action.

Barcelona began their Copa Del Rey title defense with a 3-0 win over Segunda Division B side Real Murcia. Gerard Deulofeu assisted the opening goal for Paco Alcacer before adding a second to essentially put the game out of reach for the home team. However, the Barca B team products got their chance to show their worth to Ernesto Valverde. Many players made their debut in this Copa Del Rey match, including a young winger with a lot of skill.

Jose Arnaiz is a Spanish winger that was signed by the Blaugrana this past summer. They gave the 22-year-old former Real Valladolid player a three-year contract. After he signed, the club immediately sent him to play for the Barca B team. Because of his success he was awarded a grand opportunity to perform with the first team. Ernesto Valverde included him in the squad to face Real Murcia.

This wasn’t the end of the Spanish wingers chances because more was on the horizon for the Barca B player. Arnaiz was given an even bigger chance when he was included in the starting 11 for the match on Tuesday. It took him some time to get into the flow of the game, but he started to find his footing at the end of the first half.

Then, in the second half, Arnaiz had the moment of a lifetime when he marked his first team debut by scoring the third goal for the Blaugrana. It was a shot about 20 yards away from goal and his right-footed effort fired past the goalkeeper. After the match, the Spanish winger talked about making his debut for Barca.
