Barcelona have one of the biggest fan bases in the world. There are millions of Barcelona fans throughout the world, with the global appeal of the Barça philosophy and the stars who play for the club, two of the major factors.

Many famous people are also supporters of Barça , notably, actor Javier Bardem and former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. But all these factors have been overlooked for the Fandom 250 rankings.

Barcelona have finished #32 in the overall rankings, and #2 in the soccer division. In the overall scenario, Barça’s ranking is an aberration considering that ‘The Walking Dead’ and Conor McGregor fans are higher in rankings.

The Blaugrana not only have a larger fan following in terms of numbers, but also in terms of passion. Barça fans are so passionate that they can go extreme with their devotion to the club. Even though Boixos Nois are extremists, their passion for the club is admirable.

But an even greater dishonour is placing Real Madrid at first in the soccer division. Barcelona fans always stick with their club, in good times and bad, unlike Los Blancos fans. The only reason Rafa Benítez was sacked was because he couldn’t gel with the supporters.

Real Madrid were performing well, if not up to their absolute best, when Benítez was sacked. As for the Barça fan base, we stuck up for Luis Enrique even when his side was underperforming. Overall, this was a bad year at the park for Barcelona supporters.
