3. Damien Comolli

The 45-year old is one of the most prolific sporting directors of all-time. His last position was at Liverpool, where he was responsible for the signings of Luis Suárez, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.

But his tenure at Anfield is a failure considering his performance at his previous clubs, Tottenham and Arsenal. At Highbury, he acted as a scout, bringing in talents like Gaël Clichy, Kolo Touré and Emmanuel Eboué.

But his greatest success is said to be at White Hart Lane. The Frenchman brought in youngsters with huge potential who are the stars of today, including Gareth Bale and Luka Modrić. He also completed huge signings like Dimitar Berbatov and Roman Pavlyuchenko.

But it has been 6 years since he last occupied a role in a club. But he is a highly efficient sporting director who will favour La Masia.
