Barcelona have won 15 major competitions in the last decade

Undoubtedly, Barcelona have enjoyed the best decade in the history of the club since 2010. From Pep Guardiola to Ernesto Valverde, players and presidents have come and gone but the success has been a constant every season.

While the foundation for this success was laid in the 2008/09 season in Guardiola’s debut season, managers like Luis Enrique and Tito Vilanova have had a huge part in extending Barça’s dominance as the best club in Europe.

In recent years, Champions League success has been hard to come by. Ever since the treble win in 2014/15, Barça are yet to reach the final. Last season, Valverde’s men came very close, only to be denied by a freak goal from Liverpool in the second leg of the semi-final.

Some players have been very important in this period of Barça’s dominance. While some players like Pedro and Cesc Fàbregas were the backbone of the structure which brought regular success to the club, others were embedded into the structure.
