Diario AS claims that Getafe are looking to acquire Alena for a six-month loan deal which could be a great opportunity for the youngster if he wants to develop and gain experience with a top-level club.
The Spanish international, however, is reportedly waiting to see Getafe’s progress in the European League and would only join the club if they qualify for the knockout stages. The club needs a draw or a win in their final group stage fixture against FC Krasnodar, who are tied with the Spanish club at 9 points.
Getafe are believed to have kept Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz as a backup option in case they fail to secure the Barca midfielder. Alena himself has several European clubs interested in him, from several Spanish first division teams to a couple of Premier League sides. Sources even claim that Italian giants AC Milan are also closely monitoring the Player’s situation.
If Alena does join Getafe, he would be reunited with former teammate, Marc Cucurella, who is on a loan deal since the beginning of the season.
