Barcelona may not be planning on adding any players during the winter transfer window but the same cannot be said when it comes to selling.

The club have already loaned out Carles Aleña and are trying to do the same with Jean-Clair Todibo. The plan for these two is to develop by getting more playing time.

The Catalans are trying to plan for next season and that may include the purchase of a new-right back as both Nelson Semedo and Moussa Wague are being sought after by English teams.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Wague is an on the short list of Brendan Rogers’ Leicester City should they lose their own right-back, Ricardo Pereira.

Should they approach Barcelona, they would ask for a loan with an option to buy.

Perhaps the more interesting name is Nelson Semedo.

According to Metro, Spurs are the team interested in the Portuguese international.

The North London side are reportedly prepared to offer £31 million for the former Benfica man.

Losing Wague would do little to disrupt the team as he has rarely been counted on by Ernesto Valverde. But Nelson Semedo is a different story.

He’s had to battle it out with Sergi Roberto since he first arrived for the starting right-back spot and early on this season looked to have finally won out.

But injuries forced him to miss some time and once again Roberto has seemingly taken over in the eyes of the manager.

This isn’t the first time that Semedo has been linked with a move away. Prior to the start of the season he was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid but the club did not want to sell his as they saw his as irreplaceable.

That seems to have changed and Barcelona are now willing to listen to offers as they have turned their attention to RB Leipzig’s Lukas Klostermann as a potential replacement.

The drawing power and money of the Premier League would be attractive options to all parties involved. Wague and Semedo would be going to strong leagues and teams while Barcelona would be able to get more should they negotiate with the likes of Leicester and Tottenham.

At this point all it is are rumors and getting rid of young players is the opposite of what the club should be doing. But with both players wanting to play more and with plenty of suitors after, Barcelona need to take advantage of any potential offers and reinvest any fee received properly back into the squad.
