Barcelona joins Tottenham and Manchester United to chase Ricardo Pereira amid Leicester city’s interest in right-back Moussa Wague.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Leicester City are interested in Barcelona defender Moussa Wague and are preparing a loan move for the youngster, with an option to purchase later.

More from Everything Barca

Moussa Wague has struggled to gain minutes under Ernesto Valverde and this opportunity could attract both parties to finalize a deal for the Senegal international. The report states that Leicester are looking for a replacement for their soon to be departed full-back, Ricardo Pereira.

The Cules were hoping to see more of Wague this season with recent reports stating Barca’s intentions of selling Nelson Semedo in the summer transfer window. With Semedo leaving, Sergi Roberto would become the undisputed starter for the club with Moussa looking to be his substitute.

Mirror reports that Barca have joined the race along with Tottenham and Manchester United to sign Pereira as they themselves are looking for a replacement for Semedo. It seems that they have now decided to replace one Portuguese with another and this could possibly lead to a transfer move between the two clubs.

The Sun reports that Barca have sent scouts to monitor the Portugal international to see if he would be an ideal fit at Camp Nou. The 26-year-old has made 61 appearances since his arrival in  2018, managing to score 4 goals and 9 assists in the process. Though the two clubs have a deal to negotiate in January, it will all depend on Valverde’s future as the Spanish coach is likely to part ways with Barcelona in the coming days or even hours.
