Inter Milan striker snubs Manchester United for a Barcelona move
Barcelona have been handed a huge boost to secure Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, after the Argentine has set his mind on a summer move to Nou Camp.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had a disappointing January transfer window after failing to secure a striker. United and Barcelona were both on a hunt to sign a forward to bolster their attack with both clubs targetting Inter Milan forward, Lautaro Martinez.

United’s initial attempt to sign high-flying Erling Haaland to Old Trafford got rejected by the former Red Bull Salzburg striker, who later joined Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund with whom he has been in a phenomenal form scoring 8 goals in 4 appearances.
Lautaro Martinez has emerged as the next top target for the Premier League side but ESPN reports that the 22-year-old has made up his mind for a summer move to Camp Nou. Martinez has established himself next to Lionel Messi in the Argentina national squad and wants to replicate the tag team at the club level also, this is to further his establishment with the national squad.
The Inter Milan forward has been highly demanded by many European clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid, all tracking the player since his arrival from Racing Club in 2018 for a fee of mere £20 million.
Martinez’s release clause is set at €111 million during the first 2 weeks of July 2020 and Barca are believed to be adamant about paying that fee to secure an asset like Lautaro. The Catalan side are currently struggling with the latest injuries to Ousmane Dembele, Luis Suarez and many more. The 4-months injury to 33-year-old Suarez has sparked a relentless chase for signing a new striker to become the long-term successor to the Uruguayan, and at 22 years of age, Martinez fits the bill.
