Barcelona’s Technical Secretary’s assistant was in Germany to see RB Leipzig players’ performance in their Tuesday’s victory over Tottenham.

With the travel restrictions of the Government surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, clubs and players alike are quarantined in order to control the spread of the said pandemic. Barcelona’s Director of Football, Eric Abidal,  working with the constraints of the restriction, sent his assistant, Ramon Planes, to witness certain RB Leipzig players during their clash against Tottenham.

More from Everything Barca

Planes was in Germany to scout prospected youngsters that are under Barca’s radar for reinforcements in much-needed areas of the squad. Mundo Deportivo reports defender Dayot Upamecano, fullback Jose Angelino and striker Timo Werner were all under Ramon’s surveillance.

Dayot Upamecano has been previously linked with a move to the Nou Camp as the Catalan giants continue their search for a center-back that can not only play alongside either Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet or Samuel Umtiti; but also be a permanent successor to 33-year-old Pique.

Another player heavily linked with a move is forward Timo Werner, who is playing as a backup for the Lautaro Martinez deal. The 24-year-old striker is not only cheaper to sign than the Argentine striker at Inter Milan, at 60 million euros, but he can also play as a long term heir to the No. 9 at Camp Nou.

Ramon also witnessed Manchester City Loanee Galician Angelino, who will be playing for the Bundesliga side until the end of this season. The 23-year-old will remain a City player until 2023 but could be a potential signing for Barca as they look to strengthen their two fullback positions.
