Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly named their exorbitant price for the much-awaited Neymar’s reunion with former club FC Barcelona.
Forbes via ESPN’s Julien Laurens reports that Barcelona will have to pay an astonishing $167 million to reunite with their former star, Neymar Jr., with a loss of around $100 million, on the world record fee of $265 million, to PSG which paid the extraordinary amount to obtain the Brazilian from the Catalans.

Neymar’s consistently troubling behavior has led sporting director Leonardo to finalize an exit strategy for the 28-year-old forward; while moving the club’s focus towards retaining Kylian Mbappé and tying him to a long-term deal, making him untransferable.
With Mbappe’s contract expiring in 2022, the Ligue 1 side fears the possibility of losing their World Cup winner to Real Madrid where both club President Florentino Perez and coach Zinedine Zidane are well-known enthusiasts of the 21-year-old.
With Neymar’s consistent efforts to reunite with Blaugrana legend, Lionel Messi, PSG have allegedly decided to shift their focus on securing at least one of these stars, as losing the pair would be disastrous to the French club and hurt their global reputation beyond repair.
With their recent qualification to the quarter-finals stage in the Champions League after defeating Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund, such reports might have a negative influence on their champions league dreams, as this season might be their best chance of lifting the European glory.
This report, however, will be a delight for the Catalan side as they plan to bring back Neymar to make Messi ‘s last few seasons at the Nou Camp as prosperous as possible.
Blaugrana may even attempt to lower the reported amount by offering the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic in an exchange deal.
