Juventus

Recent reports confirmed that Juventus are willing to negotiate an extended swap deal with Barca involving players like Mattia de Sciglio and Miralem Pjanic in exchange for midfielder Arthur Melo. However, after Barca showed a clear sign of disagreement about letting Arthur go, the Old Lady are looking to negotiate for Ivan Rakitic and Nelson Semedo instead with SPORT reporting that Juve will pay the two named players for Semedo along with an additional 25 million euros in cash. Former Real Madrid star, Danilo, failed to impress in Turin along with current right-back Juan Cuadrado at 31 years of age, Semedo can truly be an improvement.

Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri are the strongest contenders for signing the Portuguese international as the ongoing negotiations for the Argentine striker, Lautaro Martinez, will surely include multiple Barca stars this summer. Inter are interested in Manchester City right-back, Joao Cancelo, with Juventus and Barca looking in a joint-operation where Cancelo will join Barca for Nelson Semedo to be then traded to Inter in exchange for Lautaro. Meanwhile, Juventus will provide Barca with a right-back as Sciglio will travel to Nou Camp in exchange for Barca players like Ivan Rakitic or Arthur Melo.

Despite being complicated, the deal is a likely outcome of the creativity required to help make transfers possible in the current market as all clubs are facing a financial crisis as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
