The Catalan giants have been strongly linked with the Argentine international despite their lack of financial means of securing the agreement. They have attempted to reach a mutually beneficial deal with Inter Milan for many months now after constantly offering a range of available players to the Italian side.
Inter Milan, though interested in some players like Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo, have rejected the option of player exchange despite the current financial situations of the market as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Inter’s Sporting Director has insisted that the only option of singing Lautaro this summer will be to pay the 111 million euro transfer fee.
Lautaro has made it clear that he wants a move to the Nou Camp this summer and reports in Italy claim that the striker has already agreed on a five-season long contract worth over 12 million euros per season. Henow awaits, like the millions of Barca and Inter fans, the results of the ongoing negotiations between the two clubs.
Barca have yet to confirm or deny these claims but it is clear that they have been negotiating with the Italian side, offering multiple players in return. The Spanish side are hoping that they accept their latest offer of two players (unnamed) and an additional 60 million. The Nerazzurri, however, have demanded 80 million instead.
The two sides are nearing an agreement and the idea of Lautaro Martinez in Blaugrana colors is slowly becoming a reality.
Should Barca pay the 80 million plus 2 players for Lautaro?
