Barca’s latest expensive failed transfers like Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, and Antoine Griezmann have placed them in economic crisis while the outbreak of COVID-19 made the matter worse. The Spanish side cannot afford to pay Lautaro’s release clause without lowering the demanded amount by offering some of its own players.
Multiple players were linked to moving to San Siro this summer with the latest reports claiming an amount of 70-90 million euros to be paid along with the transfer of Junior Firpo. Inter Milan, however, are reluctant to let their star player leave with Inter Milan CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, revealing that he is clueless about the Barca negotiations and has no desire to sell Lautaro.
Sport reports that Lautaro has made up his mind to join Barca this summer, agreeing to sign a five-year deal. The striker has witnessed Inter’s real intentions that are causing as much trouble as possible to make the deal fall through but Lautaro is prepared to publically express his desires of joining Camp Nou.
