Barcelona to sign Rayo Vallecano’s 16-year-old Spanish superstar.

Barcelona beat Real Madrid to the chase after reaching an agreement with Rayo Vallecano to sign their superstar prodigy.

Marca reports that the Rayo Vallecano’s Fabian Luzzi has been regarded as a top prospect in Spanish youth division which has already earned him time with the first team at mere 16 years of age.

The talented youngster is a wanted man in Spain with both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid being reported to be monitoring his situation. Vallecano’s boss, Paco Jemez, wanted him to remain and had offered him a massive offer in order to persuade him away from the big dogs.

Luzzi, however, has chosen his destination by agreeing to sign a deal with Barca and awaits an official announcement to confirm the transfer. Originally from Brazil, the teenager has opted to play for the Spanish national team and has already played 3 matches of the Under-16 side.

He is a center-forward who could possibly make his first-team debut at Camp Nou earlier than expected provided he continues to develop. Quique Setien is known to give youngsters ample opportunities to prove their worth as evident with both Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig.

Luzzi could be inspired by Ansu Fati’s development at Barca who made his debut at the age of 16, and perhaps Culers could eventually witness a very young attacking trio consisting of Fati, Luzzi and latest signing, Francisco Trincão.
