Lautaro Martinez (Age: 22 | Club: Inter Milan | Transfer Value: 64m euros)

It is a well-known fact that the Catalans are heavily targetting the Argentine striker as they have deemed him to be the perfect successor to 33-year-old Luis Suarez. While his 111 million euro release clause has expired, Barca remains confident in his signing as they have already reached a personal agreement with the Inter Milan forward. The Nerazzurri, however, are reluctant to lose their superstar but his recent dip in performance shows that his mind is elsewhere. The negotiations currently await the closure of the Champions League campaign at which point Barca are hoping to secure the striker for 70 million euros along with an offer of an additional player of their own, while Inter are claiming to want 90m instead.

The current Plan ‘B’ if the negotiations for Lautaro’s move fails through, the former Arsenal captain awaits the Catalans’ response before finalizing the final years of his career. The Gabonese international desires a move to the Nou Camp but Barca only want him as a short term solution as at 31 years of age, Aubameyang can only play for the next few seasons.
