The 33-year-old has officially demanded a transfer out of the Nou Camp after being left unhappy by the way the club has been running under the current management led by president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
While many beleive that the Argentine international is keen on securing a move to Manchester City to reunite with former coach, Pep Guardiola; the agent who brought Messi to Barca claims Inter Milan are the most likely destination.
Messi rocked the world football by demanding a move out his beloved Blaugrana, wanting to activate the existing clause in his unique contract that would let him leave for free.
Unfortunately for Messi and the many clubs desiring his services, the activation was to be done at the end of May, and thus has since expired. Leo is still hopeful that the clause should be affective until August given the season lasted longer due to the ongoing pandemic.
Reports suggest that Bartomeu and co. are adament about keeping Messi for another season and will force any club to pay a substancial amount for securing the maestro. While it remains to be seen how and which club ensures his departure, Inter MIlan and Manchester City are the front runners in the race.
Josep Maria Minguella, the agent who united Barca with a 12-year-old Messi has revealed what he beleives to be the ideal club for the Argentine.
"“For me, Messi already has a team: Inter. In Italy they pay less tax, and in fact, there is Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s harder for me to see him in England, no matter how long his friend [Sergio] Aguero and [Pep] Guardiola are at City.” He said.“Now in Italy they are trying to revitalise the world of football with great signings and with these advantages in the advertising contracts of the football players.Source Goal via Cadena COPE"
