Tottenham Hotspur’s boss Jose Mourinho told to sign Barcelona superstar.

Tottenham boss, Jose Mourinho, has been reportedly backed to secure the transfer of striker Luis Suarez from Barcelona this summer according to Express. Former Premier League center-back Stephen Warnock has stated that the Portuguese should try and bring the former Liverpool center-forward to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium this transfer window.

More from Everything Barca

The Uruguayan played for Liverpool since 2011 and scored an amount of 69 goals in some hundred appearances. His outstanding individual season in the year 2013/14 earned him a move to another world-class Barcelona side where he joined Lionel Messi and Neymar, creating one of the greatest front three trios in footballing history.

The 33-year-old has apparently been informed that he will not be a part of newly appointed Ronald Koeman’s plans at the Nou Camp. The Dutchman has reportedly also convinced Lyon’s Memphis Depay to join the Catalan club on their 2020/21 quest and the forward has agreed to a move to the Nou Camp according to trusted top tier journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

While Depay’s arrival will likely mean Suarez’s departure, the striker has demanded full wages and payment that are stated in his contract if they force his exit this transfer window. Suarez has no intention of leaving and wishes to see the contract out. Former Premier League star, Neil Warnock, certainly seems to back Mourinho into signing the former Ajax man to reinforce and strengthen his current Tottenham side.

Suarez could be a fantastic addition to any top-flight European squad including in the Premier Leauge sides like Spurs. He can be a great backup for England international Harry Kane as the 27-year-old could use an extra motivation to keep performing and a little competition could bring his previous form back. This move will bring the Uruguayan back to England and ready for action in the premier league under Mourinho. The downside is that he will not be a part of the UEFA Champions League as Spurs failed to qualify for this season’s champions league, making it difficult to convince the 33-year-old star.

A move to Tottenham Hotspur could be a fantastic deal for him as he obviously still has a lot to offer. At 33, Spurs is a great team to see out the rest of his days in the European top flight but the lack of Champions League football could potentially hinder any hopes.
