Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has strictly advised Ronald Koeman to only follow a sell and buy policy this summer. The Catalans have already sold Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic back to Sevilla, to the club for whom once the midfielder played for. The Blaugrana are also close to selling Nelson Semedo to the Premier League as the Portuguese right-back has reportedly reached personal terms with Nuno to play under him at the Molineux.

Uruguayan veteran Luis Suarez is also reportedly on his way out and has agreed to personal terms with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. While this particular transfer will not bring in a transfer fee given the fact that Suarez’s contract was terminated. This transfer will be a free transfer, although it will free up a huge amount of wages that was being paid to the Uruguayan for other players that might be coming in.

Koeman has been longing to bring in fellow Dutchman, Lyon’s Memphis Depay at the Nou Camp this summer. The former Manchester United man reportedly agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants according to top tier journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Lionel Messi had reportedly wanted to leave the club as the Argentine had handed in a transfer request. If the 33-year-old was to be sold, these problems would have been solved as his sale would bring in at least 150-200 million euros. Teams like Manchester City would have been able to afford the fee for the Barca veteran and Koeman would have had the solid amount to rebuild the squad in the way he desires.
