Barca have already let Luis Suarez join fellow La Liga side Atletico Madrid. Nelson Semedo has been sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ivan Rakitic has been sent to Sevilla. The Catalans have also sold Arthur Melo to Juventus in a deal where they landed Pjanic from the Italians.
The La Liga giants are also planning on selling more players to acquire fees for other incomings. Players like Samuel Umtiti, Rafinha, Jean-Clair Todibo might all be on their way out.
According to Sport via L’equipe, Lyon are not only ready to sell Memphis Depay but also are willing to decrease his price lower to 25 million euros. However, Barca have to act within this week as the Lyon President has stated that they will not be making any transfers after this week’s Friday.
25 million euros for a player of Memphis Depay’s quality is a huge steal. Ronald Koeman would be thrilled to have such an addition at such a low price. If this transfer does go through, the player will be playing alongside Philippe Coutinho, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, and Ansu Fati. Barca will increase their depth and options in the attacking lineup as multiple youngsters like Pedri and Francisco Trincao also await their chance to show their talent. They will also have the opportunity to compete against the Champions League favorites with this fresh start.
Will Depay be successful at Barca?
