Ansu Fati is looking forward to Barcelona’s crucial matches.

Ansu Fati has been one the most important players for Ronald Koeman so far. The 17-year-old has registered four goals in four starts across all competitions. After their 5-1 victory against Ferencvaros in which he scored one goal, he mentioned that he would like to play in the El Clasico which is on the 24th of October.

Ansu Fati has adapted quite well to the new formation that Koeman has been using, shifting the focus player from Lionel Messi has really allowed the youngster to shine as he has been scoring regularly for the Spanish giants. Messi allows the wingers to get into the box while he holds off the play and looks for spaces to provide a pass. This allows other players to get more opportunities to register goals and Fati has benefited a lot as he already has four goals from five matches. The young talent has already been tipped to be the key to the post-Messi era and the Barcelona board recently secured him to the club by adding a huge release clause to the player.

The young Spaniard is only 17 years of age but is showing great maturity already and understands when he is not selected in the team. Having said that, however, in the post-match interview in the UEFA Champions League he did mention that it was a dream of his to play in the legendary derby named El Clasico,

"“with the utmost enthusiasm possible, it’s a Classic, I’ve always dreamed of playing and it’s time to recover well now. There are two very nice matches I’ve always dreamed of playing and hopefully I can get a chance to do it.”Souce Mundo Deportivo."

The second match that he is referring to is the upcoming match against Juventus in the Champions League group stage. The match will be a very test for the young player and of course, all the fans will also get to witness Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi once again. Ronaldo should be fit to play by then according to his health reports, but him testing positive for COVID-19 once again could prove to be the end of that matchup until the second-leg.
