Juventus want another lucrative swap deal with Barcelona
Juventus are keen on making another swap deal with Barcelona.
Juventus and Barcelona made a major switch deal last season which saw Arthur go to Turin while Miralem Pjanic went to the Catalans. Now Juventus has another transfer on their minds and one which might work out for Barcelona as well. The Italian giants are willing to swap Federico Bernardeschi for Ousmane Dembele reports Tuttosport.

Both Bernardeschi and Dembele have been less than spectacular for their clubs and they need a change of scenarios for sure. The Italian winger was picked up from Fiorentina in 2017 after a decent season but he has failed to make an impact with the Old Lady. The 26-year-old in 112 appearances for Juventus has only managed to score 10 goals and provide 15 assists. These numbers are well below par and this season will be his last chance as he still has an opportunity to impress new boss, Andrea Pirlo.
The French winger has not fared much better either. His 100 million-plus deal from Dortmund has really pushed him back. Fans expected too much from the youngster and many called him the replacement from Neymar Jr. This, however, affected his game and he instead became a black sheep in the team. His regular injuries and attitude problem made Barcelona regret buying the player. They tried to sell off the 23-year-old off to Manchester United this transfer window but were unable to complete the deal due to Dembele’s lack of compliance.
The winger decided that he wanted to stay and fight for his place in the Catalan side. This made Barca lose their deal with Memphis Depay as well and it might hurt the chances of any swap deal as well. Should Dembele not accept to move away from the club there is nothing they can do unless they buy him out of his contract but that is not an option as they are looking to make some money from selling the French player and they will not be willing to let him go for free.

With Bartomeu’s exit, it is unlikely that Barca would even consider this swap deal especially with Koeman including Dembele in his plans.
