Barcelona are not the best side defensively currently and they have been weak at the back for a number of years. Before they had an amazing front three to outscore any team but ever since the departure of Neymar, they have struggled. This season their defensive flaws are the most prominent and with the injury of Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti, they have only one experienced center back left. They have a few youngsters but they are not experienced enough to play regularly in the first team. A player like Rudiger is exactly what the Catalans need, experienced, tall, strong and still in his prime. He will be quite cheap as well considering that he does not get many matches at Chelsea or Barcelona could just loan him out.
