Coutinho has struggled in multiple ways since his arrival at the Nou Camp. He was signed for over 140 million euros and he absolutely failed to live up to the hype. He put in mediocre performances that did not at all match his standards which he had set at Liverpool.
Eventually, he was sent on loan for a single season to play under Hansi Flick at the Allianz Arena. The 28-year-old ended up winning the treble with Bayern Munich and returned to Barcelona at the start of this season.
He got off to a good start this season however it’s just not the Coutinho that the fans witnessed at Anfield. Currently, he’s down with his second injury of the season and it looks like the Brazilian may be out for quite a while.
The former Inter Milan midfielder is now going to be out for approximately three months according to Barca. He picked up a knee injury against Eibar during stoppage time as the game ended 1-1. The attacking midfielder has reportedly gone under a successful knee injury but will reportedly be out for three months until he’s completely fit and ready to be back on the pitch.
The former Liverpool star joins a long list of injuries at the Nou Camp that include, Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and a few other footballers. Ronald Koeman stated that his side has been very unlucky with so many injuries this season.
