The French side have shown an interest in the Barcelona superstar.

With Lionel Messi’s contract up in the summer, interested clubs are now free to talk with the Barcelona star about a possible.

His quotes made headlines as it is no secret Neymar wants to play with Messi again. That can only happen if his club sign Messi as it is impossible for Barcelona to pry Neymar away.

Naturally, manager Ronald Koeman was asked what he thought about Leonardo’s quotes in his press conference prior to their game against Cornella in the Copa del Rey.

"“If I am asked about interest in Neymar and Mbappe, I would say yes, so it’s the same,” Koeman said. “I don’t know what can happen in the future, I can’t give an opinion on them, just try and work on having the best squad possible.”Source: Sport"

Suffice it to say that Koeman was not happy with the comments made by Leonardo.

The ongoing speculation about Messi’s future has been a touchy subject around the Camp Nou with the player having made the choice to leave during the summer. However, he was ultimately forced to stay.

Since then, Messi has given an interview where he stated that he is once again content at Barcelona and with the desire to fight for titles.
