Another player that Barcelona are currently linked with is RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano. The 22-year-old French centre-back has taken the world by storm and many elite teams including the Catalans are interested in him.

For a world-class player like him, his release clause is very low, only 45 million pounds and thus many teams are already trying to offer him contracts. It will be tough for Barcelona to manage this transfer due to the player’s surge in popularity but if no one buys him from the German side in this transfer window, Barcelona will have a chance next season.

The defender is a brilliant, physical, and commanding player who has great leadership qualities and exactly what the Spanish side needs. He reminds people of Samuel Umtiti when he was fit, however, he is taller than Umtiti, giving him an advantage in the air plus he is physically more intimidating. He will be a great investment for Koeman’s side if they can pull off the miraculous transfer. Currently Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all trying to get the player’s signature.
