The former Everton manager was not very pleased with the comments and he stated that he felt disrespected. Hence, Mauricio Pochettino has now made a few comments after his former Premier League opponent issued a threat to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of their round of 16 UEFA Champions League clash.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager tried to put a calm over the storm by his latest statements. After hearing how Koeman felt disrespected by the comments of Di Maria, the Argentine took it upon himself to calm the situation down.

Pochettino stated that he and his team have nothing but respect for Barcelona. He defended his players of course saying that they were simply commenting on the questions being asked to them. However, it is now clear that there was no form of disrespect aimed at Barcelona, Lionel Messi, or Koeman by making comments on Messi’s potential transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window of 2021.

Over the past few weeks, the people at the Nou Camp have been extremely irritated as the whole of European media are making speculations about Messi. The 33-year-old himself has not yet made any sort of comment on his future.

According to multiple reports, the Argentine is waiting till the end of the season to make a decision, and he is currently completely focused on the task at hand at the Nou Camp.

While Pochettino has attempted to fix the relationship, news outlets and other PSG players have not stopped linking Leo to the French giants. And while Messi wishes to be left alone, the rumors won’t stop until he announces his decision.
