Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona have faced multiple injury problems ever since his arrival at the Nou Camp. However, the coach has somehow managed to keep things on track with all the financial problems and injury problems ongoing at the club. Obviously, the club isn’t having their best season but it still can be considered a decent season so far in all competitions given the resources the former Everton manager has had at his disposal.

Things are talking a positive turn as many sources in Spain are suggesting that Gerard Pique could be back for the crucial Paris Saint-Germain tie next week. Barcelona face Mauricio Pochettino’s men in a crucial round-of-16 UEFA champions league tie next week. While the French giants are a major threat they will be without the likes of Neymar Jr, Angel Di Maria, and Marco Veratti as they are all ruled out of the tie.

The World Cup-winning defender, however, has not yet been officially ruled out of the Champions League clash. Pique picked up an injury against Atletico Madrid in a La Liga fixture in November last year. The club’s best centre-back was then seen out injured with a partial ligament injury in his right knee. However, the Spaniard refused to go under knee surgery to avoid any further complications.

As of now, it is understood that the defender has been doing everything in his power in order to make an early return. Pique has been training extremely hard over the last few months in order to make a swift recovery and reports suggest that the centre-back could potentially feature against PSG.
