Football fans are once again getting excited as it is time to back their teams in the UEFA Champions League. The most prestigious club tournament is going to be back on Wednesday and there are some absolutely spectacular matches that no one will want to miss. Liverpool will take on RB Leipzig and Barcelona will take on Paris Saint-Germain. It is the second match that people are more excited about as two absolute giants will go head to head and it will surely be an absolutely cracking game.

More from Everything Barca

Roman Koeman said that his team is feeling confident and they are on quite a run. They have only lost twice in their last 10 games and with a 5-1 win over Deportivo Alaves, Barcelona should feel good. PSG’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino himself talked about the dangerous form that the Catalans are in and said that it will be a difficult match as the Spanish side has improved immensely under the guidance of Koeman.

In a pre-match interview with UEFA, the Argentine coach said that he had been following Barcelona since they replaced Quique Setien with Koeman and he said that he can notice the change in the team and the players. He said,

"“Now after seven months he’s got his ideas in place and the team knows what the coach wants of it.”Source Sport"

Pochettino went on to say that it will surely be a very interesting match as both teams are built to win. Barcelona are one of the icons of modern European football and they were the first team to win six trophies in a row. Thus they would want to maintain their legacy and not get knocked out in the round of 16. PSG is also a competitive team and they even reached the finals of the tournament last season.

"“It’s a team that knows how to compete every well, which is always built to win,“ Pochettino said about Barcelona."

It is going to be an absolutely nail-biting game and both the teams are suffering through injury problems, thus there is no disparity. One player who could make the difference for PSG is Kylian Mbappe and for Barcelona, it is of course, Lionel Messi.
