The first leg between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain took place in the most outrageous fashion. A blockbuster tie saw the French giants grab a massive 4-1 win at the Nou Camp. Mauricio Pochettino‘s men ended up humiliating Ronald Koeman’s team to have the upper hand so far in the tie and 4 crucial away goals. Man of the match, Kylian Mbappe scored a massive hattrick to hand his side the win. A penalty from Lionel Messi saw the Catalans go 1-0 before the youngster grabbed his hat-trick along with a single goal from Moise Kean.

In such a heated tie, fallouts between footballers were inevitable. Apparently, there was a huge brawl between the star of the show Mbappe and Barcelona veteran left-back Jordi Alba. The problem with empty stadiums now is that the microphones on the sidelines can pick up what the players verbally say. Even on live television sometimes what they say is heard. According to sources at Republic World, there was a brutal exchange between the left-back and the youngster.

During a set piece in the first half, the Spanish left-back reportedly told Kylian Mbappe to “get bigger.” To which the French youngster replied in Spanish. According to these reports, the former Monaco player replied by saying “I will kill you in the street,” in Spanish.

Jordi Alba told the Frenchman that he is getting “too big for himself” to which the youngster went on to make the comment about the street. Gerard Pique too had intervened in this situation stating “who is he (Mbappe) going to kill?”, to which again, the young forward replied “On the streets, I kill you” in Spanish.

Obviously, this is not the best of behavior from both parties given that they are professional footballers. However, losing one’s cool in such a big tie is not exactly a crime. Barca must now perform another remontada in Paris to keep their Champions League hopes alive for this season.
