Barcelona might need to replace Lionel Messi next season and they might have found his perfect replacement. Sevilla’s Bryan Gil, may not be the next Messi or the next Cristiano Ronaldo but he is being called the next ‘Neymar’. He has perked the interest of many big clubs including the Catalans, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.

More from Everything Barca

The 20-year-old winger from Spain could be the next big thing according to Vaya Ballabriga, one of Barcelona’s most high-profile scouts. Ballabriga was the man who scouted Andres Iniesta and Ansu Fati and thus he must have seen something really special in Bryan to have made the comparison with Neymar.

The winger has incredible pace and is always looking to put in a good cross. Although he poses a lot of skill and flair, he does not play in a selfish manner and rather is always looking for a teammate to give the ball to. Having said that, he is not afraid to go for a shot either with his left or his right and he has scored three goals so far in the league.

He is still young and could improve a lot but his natural talent makes him desirable for clubs such as Barcelona and Madrid. Sevilla however, will not be letting him go that easily and they want to extend his contract when he returns from SD Eibar. The youngster has a release clause of 35 million euros currently but his club wants to bump that up to 150 million euros.

Should Sevilla manage to upgrade his contract, it will be impossible for Barcelona to afford him. Even right now he is on the expensive side for the Catalans. However, if the club wants to see results from their manager, they must provide him with funds so that he can compete with top teams like Madrid and Atletico.
