Kylian Mbappe has been considered as one of the best players in the world ever since the 2018 World Cup performances and continues to place his name alongside legends like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the age of 22.

More from Everything Barca

The French international recently scored a hattrick against Messi’s Barcelona at the Nou Camp, slowly cementing his name as the world’s best. While the reality is that the youngster will always be named below Ronaldo and Messi, Paris Saint-Germain boss, Mauricio Pochettino, rightfully believes that Mbappe is already one of the best players in the world.

But the Argentine coach also believes that the 22-year-old has the potential to surpass the greatness of both the superstars by the time he is their age.

"“He has the potential,” said Pochettino when asked whether Mbappe could succeed both Ronaldo and Messi“He lacks nothing but time. We cannot speed up the process. I think he’s already among the best in the world.”Source Goal"

While Pochettino continues to hail his in-form talent, the only issue facing him is whether Mbappe would continue to make his name at PSG. The Parisians are completely focused on ensuring that the World Cup winner signs a renewal beyond 2022 when his contract at the Parc des Princes expires.

Mbappe has made it clear that he wants to be the world’s best and would be prepared to move to top clubs like Real Madrid to ensure that happens. Los Blancos have been the ones constantly linked with the Frenchman despite there being not a single club that would not be interested in signing the 22-year-old.

It remains to be seen where Mbappe decides to play after 2022, but Barca’s next encounter with the superstar will see the Catalans attempt another remontada to recover from the 1-4 defeat at the Nou Camp.
