The Brazilian suffered an adductor injury in the French Cup before the first leg and had to sit out the match against the Catalans. It seems there is no reunion in sight for the player and he won’t be facing his previous team for the Champions League.
The 29-year-old forward was a force to be reckoned with when he played alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Camp Nou. However, despite being back in training, the French giants don’t want to risk his health and will do without him in the second leg.

Barcelona still face a tough challenge despite Neymar being out
The Ligue 1 giants have been without Neymar since last month now and have fared quite well in the 6 games since, with only 1 loss.
In the previous encounter with the Blaugranas, Mauricio Pochettino’s men dominated the field and didn’t show any signs of missing their talisman with a 4-1 result in their favor. Kylian Mbappe sealed the deal with a stunning hattrick and will look to put up another stellar performance in the upcoming fixture.
Hopefully, Ronald Koeman has a plan in place as Barcelona fans will be hoping for history to repeat itself and emerge victoriously.
