Barcelona have once again shown us why we can never count them out of a title race. The Catalans side swept aside the relegation threatening side, Huesca, to blow the race wide open. With 11 games still to play, no one can predict where the trophy will go this season.

For weeks it was suggested that Atletico Madrid were having a runaway season. The Rojiblancos were over ten points clear of second place with a few games in hand as well. However, Diego Simeone’s men have apparently let the foot off the pedal and have started throwing away a lot of points carelessly.

From being able to go twelve points clear, the team is now only four points ahead of Barcelona, who are hungry for the title. The Catalans have once again found their form their UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain have been put behind them. The team is focused on winning the league and the Copa del Rey and if they continue in this fashion, there is no saying who can stop them.

They were brilliant last night against Huesca and although there was a clear difference in skill level, the Blaugranas did not let their opponents rest for a second. From the first minute on, it was absolute domination via a barrage of attacks.

Koeman also tried something new this match as he needed to find a way to break down stubborn defences like the one they faced in the second leg of the champions league round of 16.
