2) Oscar Mingueza scores his first goal for Barcelona

Oscar Mingueza rose up to the occasion last night and score from a textbook header to open his account for the Catalans. He has been a solid player for Barcelona at the back with the new three center-back system and he also helped out the team a lot while Gerard Pique was out injured. Even though he contributed a lot for the team, the board had decided that he was not entirely necessary and Eric Garcia would have probably replaced him next season. Mingueza was to be sent back to the B squad but after yesterday’s performance, it will be hard to justify that move. He has been great throughout the season and although he does commit a few errors every now and then, he is still learning and could go onto be one of Koeman’s most trustworthy man.
