After matching Xavi Hernandez‘s record of 767th appearance for Barcelona, Lionel Messi has revealed intentions of winning both La Liga and Copa del Rey.

More from Everything Barca

The Argentine maestro scored a brilliant brace to inspire a 4-1 victory against Huesca, closing in on the gap between the Catalans and Atletico Madrid in the La Liga table.

Lionel Messi seems happier than before at Barcelona.

Despite being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, the Argentine continues to ignore all the distractions and focus on giving his all for the club. The Barca captain’s recent performances has clearly shown a recent shift in attitude.

Ever since Bartomeu’s exit followed by multiple positive changes like Ronald Koeman’s squad filled with youth while showing fighting spirit like they did against Sevilla to reach the Copa del Rey finals, Messi has been seen enjoying himself once again at the Nou Camp.

The Catalan giants were kicked out of the Champions League but the Argentine continued to show a desire to perform his best for the club, scoring a brace in the following match. Barca are still in a very tough La Liga race against both Atleti and Real Madrid, while also preparing to face Athletic Club on the 17th of April to win the Spanish cup.

His attitude while playing in the Barca colors almost seems like he isn’t even bothered about running out of contract in June, and wants to win the remaining titles as the club’s captain. Newly elected president, Joan Laporta, continues to plan a massive contract for the world’s best player while also publically telling him that he “loves him” and wants him at Barca.
