Pedri hopes that Lionel Messi will stay at Barcelona
Lionel Messi once again proved last night that he is the most important player for Barcelona and the club will massively suffer in his absence.

Rising star, Pedri, agrees with this sentiment and hopes that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner stays with the Catalans beyond this season. The youngster has learned a lot from the best player in the world and many claim that Pedri’s determination reminds them of a younger version of Messi.
The Catalans must understand that the youths will have to continue the legacy but Messi staying at the club will be a huge boost for them as who would not prosper from learning from the best in the world. The youngsters such as Pedri, Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, and Ilaix Morbia could learn a lot from him.
Pedri wishes for Lionel Messi to remain at Barcelona.
In a recent interview with beIN Sports, Pedri opened up about his feelings after being called up for the National team as well as his opinions on Messi. He said that he was proud to represent his national team and defend the shirt. He spoke kindly towards his captain saying that although he would like for Messi to stay, he understands that its a personal problem. He said in the interview,
"“I love playing beside Messi. He’s the best at taking decisions and finishing attacks so I always look for him on the pitch.”“I hope Messi stays at Barca, I love playing by his side but I understand that it’s a personal decision.”Source SPORT"
The Argentine could actually stay on after this season as the team has been improving steadily and their 6-1 battering of Real Sociedad showed us that the old Barcelona will be back soon. Messi scored yet another brace and even assisted Sergino Dest for his first goal.
It may be too soon to call it, however, should the Blaugrana win any silverware this season, Messi could be convinced into staying for at least a couple of more years. This is the club he loves and he would not like to miss out on the new era of Barcelona.
