Di Maria reopens Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain rumors

Lionel Messi has less than three months left on his contract with Barcelona and still, there has been no confirmation as to whether he will stay or he will go. A few months ago, it seemed like nothing would have been able to convince the Argentine to stay but now after the election of Joan Laporta, it seems like Messi might be willing to extend his contract. However, Paris Saint-Germain fans still have their fingers crossed and Angel Di Maria decided to once again link Messi to his club.

Paris Saint-Germain have been one of the leading clubs tipped to attain the services of Messi. Apart from them, the only other club to be properly linked with the player are Manchester City, but they have distanced themselves from the media and no one knows their stance on Messi for sure. PSG, on the other hand, have been quite vocal about their desire to get the Catalan captain and their players have also been making a few comments on the media, especially Messi’s countrymen and former teammates.

Di Maria talks Lionel Messi to PSG ideas

Neymar and Di Maria had both admitted before that they would love to play with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner at PSG and now Di Maria has decided to once again show his appreciation for Messi and his desire to play with his compatriot in Paris. In a recent interview with BeIn Sports, the player said,

“From my whole career, from everything I’ve seen, I think Leo is from another planet. (…) To have him as a teammate would be wonderful.”

“But he is a Barcelona player, he has a contract. After that, we’ll see. I talk a lot with him and I always tell him that the important thing is his happiness and that of his family. It’s hard to say anything else.”

While Di Maria is sticking to the plan of bringing Messi to PSG, Neymar might have changed his mind about the whole situation and could be looking for a move back to Barcelona instead. New rumors suggest that instead of Messi going to PSG, the Brazilian could be on a move back to the Blaugrana.

However, all of these are rumors and speculations and we must wait and see how things progress and whether the Barca Captain signs the new contract or not.
