According to Spanish football show, El Chiringuito, Barcelona are trying to secure a huge sponsorship deal worth 500 million euros through which they will try to acquire one of their lost talents, Neymar Jr. Every year the Brazilian is linked back to his former club and every year the Catalans fail to get back their player.

This season might have been the worst time to link such a high-rated player to Barcelona as the club is suffering from a huge financial situation however, the new sponsorship deal might make the move go through after all.
Barcelona president securing major sponsorship deal for Neymar
The reason why the move seems realistic, although the Blaugrana are deeply in debt, is because of one man, Joan Laporta. The former president was elected to replace Josep Maria Bartomeu to begin his second reign as Barcelona president. The man has a lot of good contacts and is ready to bring in a high-level player to the club to complement the young squad that he has inherited. He is also trying to bring in a player like Neymar or Erling Haaland to secure Lionel Messi to the club.
Haaland is Laporta’s main target however, along with the transfer fee comes Mino Raiolas’ additional fees which will cost the club an arm and a leg. He has been deemed too expensive at the moment although a loan or a sponsorship deal might help them secure the Norweigan. However, Neymar might be a bit cheaper as he will be entering his final year with Paris Saint-Germain and the French giants will not be willing to lose him for free next year.
On top of that, PSG have been having some troubles extending the contract of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The two superstars have high demands and the pandemic has brought down global finances to the point where even PSG might not be able to afford both of them. This is good news for Barca as well as for Neymar who has publicly admitted that he wishes to play with Messi next season.
Not much is known about the sponsorship deal yet, however, if Laporta can secure it, then the possibility of signing the Brazilian is definitely on the table. Along with that, there were also talks of a big investment loan by Goldman Sach which could also help the transaction go through and Neymar’s dreams of playing with Messi again could soon become a reality.
Would you want Laporta to bring Neymar back or rather invest the funds elsewhere?
