Ronald Koeman desires a massive overhaul at Barcelona
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is not at all satisfied with the season his team has had. Obviously, there have been many serious financial problems at the club and many injury issues on the pitch. However, the coach believes that the level of the current players is not good enough.

After Barcelona’s scrappy win on the last day of the La Liga season, Ronald Koeman was evaluating the many reasons behind the struggle. In the post-match interview, he stated that this current squad will require a massive overhaul if the team is serious about winning bigger trophies from the next season.

The coach also stated that this squad is not good enough to win big titles. Obviously, the players may not be too happy to hear their own coach publically deeming them not good enough, but this is the reality according to the former Everton coach.
He continued by saying that a few of the squad players are too old and they will not be able to compete at a high level. He also stated that the squad also contains a lot of very young players who do not possess the experience needed to compete against tough opposition.
Barcelona planning to bring major changes to the squad
The Catalans have finished 3rd behind runners-up Real Madrid and Champions Atletico Madrid. The coach believes that the squad is to be blamed and not his own mistakes. He also said that everything cannot be done in one season and that this is a process of getting to where the club wants to be year by year. Developing forward from where they are now.
Many signings are coming the way of the Nou Camp in the summer transfer window with Joan Laporta planning a massive overhaul with multiple departures and signings but it is yet unsure whether Koeman will be there to see it with the Dutch coach’s future in doubts.
