Barcelona managed to get three new players in the winter transfer window this season however, only two of them have been secured which means that the last player’s future is still up for a bit of debate. The player we are talking about is Adama Traore, while Ferran Torres and  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been signed for good, Traore has only been secured as a loanee. The Wolves’ winger was going to be sold at the end of the season and Barca and Tottenham Hotspurs were the main candidates. However, the former La Masia graduate clearly had a soft spot for his old club and wanted to help his former team out during this tough time.

The player took an extremely subsidised salary and even said that joining Barca would be his first choice. The 26-year-old even had an immediate impact on the team as he gave a good assist in his first game for the club. In his eight appearances, he has already made four assists but he is yet to score a goal. The manager is pleasantly surprised with him and the president wants to keep him as well. Financially it is going to be tough because the PL side wants 30 million euros for the player.

Barcelona wants to keep Adama Traore but there are some financial obstacles

The amount that the club wants is not reasonable for Barca at the moment but they still want to keep him. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told Rio Ferdinand in a recent interview that the Catalans were looking for a new way to sing him and they might have found a solution. He said in the interview,

"“I don’t expect Barcelona to pay €30 million. As part of the negotiation, Trincao could be one of the names on the table and midfielder Riqui Puig could be offered too.”_Source Barca Universal"

Keeping him at the club would be good since the player managed to have some immediate impact on the pitch whereas Francisco Trincao is yet to score his first goal or provide his first assist in the Premier League. The Portuguese player did not impress last season either and thus a swap deal with Trincao might not be the craziest idea ever.

Do you think a direct swap of Trincao for Traore would be a good deal for Barcelona? Let us know in the comments down below.
