Barcelona close to signing Ousmane Dembele’s replacement
According to recent reports from SPORT and Forbes, Barcelona superstar, Ousmane Dembele will not remain at the club and will leave at the end of the season. The French superstar started to enjoy his time under the management and leadership of Xavi Hernandez and the manager really wanted to keep him as well, however, Dembele wants wages that the club just cannot offer and he is going to move on to his next chapter. According to reports, it is going to Paris Saint-Germain who will secure the player but Barca fans should not worry too much as the club already has a replacement lined up.
Leeds United’s Raphinha has been the centre of attention for a lot of Premier League sides including the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea. The PL teams have seen the Brazilian perform daily and he has done a lot for Leeds even in a season where they have struggled quite a bit, overall. The player has been quite influential for the team and he has scored nine times this season while also providing three assists. SPORT has reported that the player has already been contacted by Barca and that he has already agreed to a five-year contract with the Catalans.
The main problem now is not the other teams that are interested, because Chelsea cannot sign any new players and Liverpool are too busy trying to secure Salah, but the fact that Leeds will probably ask a lot for the player. Barca has started negotiations by sending a 35 million euros offer however, the English side will probably not sell their best player for less than 50 million. The player’s contract does not expire soon, so they do not have to worry about selling him just yet and that makes it even more troublesome. However, if the club accepts the offer, or can negotiate with the Catalans then Barca might just gain a Brazilian maestro for next season.
