Barcelona has a big problem, one of the best players, Ousmane Dembele, will become a free agent at the end of the season but there have been no new negotiations as of now. The club and the player were negotiating back in January but things fell apart when the player demanded a huge salary plus a signing on bonus. The Catalans are in no shape to give such an amount to a player and thus, the deal was cut short. He was told to leave the club back in January but he refused to do so and now Barca might lose him on a free transfer.

It was first thought that you would not be played anymore for the rest of the season however, Xavi Hernandez loved the player and he has now begun to shine underneath the guidance of Xavi. Many players including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has asked him to stay back at the club and now Barca legend, Jordi Alba, also wants Dembele to remain at the club. He said in a recent interview with Cadena Ser,

"“I think they should (keep him at the club). In his position, he’s one of the best in the world by far,”“He’s motivated and I don’t know what he’s going to do, but I hope he stays.”_Source Barca Blaugrana via Cadena Ser"

Recent reports have suggested different things, some say that he is going to go to Paris Saint-Germain while others claim that he is loyal to Barca and is ready to hear out a new offer. However, it all depends upon what he wants. If he wants instant cash and a lot of it, then PSG is the better club, but if he wants to build a legacy and be part of something truly extraordinary, then He should definitely remain with the Blaugrana.
