Barcelona: Ferran Torres jokes about kidnaping Ousmane Dembele

The Ousmane Dembele situation at Barcelona is not getting any simpler, however, in the midst of all the chaos and confusion, players have voiced their opinions for Dembele to stay. According to reports, many players and the manager, Xavi Hernandez, wants Dembele to continue at the club and become a Catalan legend at the end of his journey. The former Borussia Dortmund player is a polarizing figure in the club at the moment however if he manages to continue his current form, then he will certainly be one of the most wanted players in the Summer transfer window.

Dembele was always a special player and everyone knew he had a lot of potential however, his work ethic and injuries held him back. Now, under the guidance of Xavi, he is a completely changed player and he has become one of the best wingers in La Liga. His assists are incredible and his impact on each game is fundamental for Barca’s victories. He has been such a big impact on the team that his teammates have publicly asked him to stay. Recently Ferran Torres even joked about kidnapping him in order to make him stay. He said in a prematch interview,

He then went onto say that the decision will be Dembele’s to make and that the players have no say in it. However, it is clear that everyone wants him to stay on at the club and players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Pedri and Jordi Alba have all requested the player to stay. The main issue for Dembele is the low salary being offered by Barca.
