Barcelona Femeni completely annihilated Lyon in Oslo and were crowned champions of the 2026 UEFA Women's Champions League. A thunderous second half display saw Barcelona win 4-0 against Lyon at the Ullevaal Stadion and, in doing so, secured their fourth Champions League title.
The victory further cements the status of this Barcelona side as the absolute dominant force in modern women's football. With seven appearances in the last eight finals, and six consecutive final showings, this team has truly enjoyed a decade of total dominance. Lyon used to rule Europe; now it is Barcelona who hold the crown.
Despite an imposing physical start from Lyon, the Catalans turned the final around after halftime due to a shrewd tactical tweak from coach Pere Romeu.
It was Ewa Pajor who broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with an excellent right-footed finish after a lightning quick counter-attack with assist coming from Patri Guijarro. Pajor doubled her advantage in the 69th minute when she finished calmly from close range following some outstanding footwork from Salma Paralluelo.
It was Paralluelo who ripped Lyon apart as they finally cracked under the immense pressure. She produced a sensational left-footed effort from outside the box in the 90th minute and completed her brace in the dying seconds from an unselfish assist from Ewa Pajor.
