FC Barcelona has started their 2024/25 campaign in style, bagging the complete 3 points in an away fixture against Valencia. Even though there were some lapses in the 1st half's play, the Blaugrana club came much stronger in the second half to get their campaign started with a much-deserved win. From the young prodigies Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal and the duo of Casado-Bernal to the experienced veterans Lewandowski and Ter Stegen, it was a collective performance from the Catalan group.

However, some players stood out in the season opener, marking their arrivals in style in the new campaign. On that note, here's a look at the 3 Barcelona stars who stood out in the season opener against Valencia:

Robert Lewandowski

Coming in the Valencia game, having a poor outing against AS Monaco, the Polish striker gave it straight back to the critics, delivering a masterclass at Mestalla. Stood as a complete striker in all aspects, Lewandowski sourced both of the Blaugrana club's goals, registering the club's first win of the new season.

Going behind in the 44th minute, Flick's entrusted forward combined with Lamine Yamal to equalize the score in the end moments of the 1st half. Minutes later, a rough challenge on Raphinha gave Lewandowski a chance to complete his brace, and the striker grabbed the opportunity with open arms.

For his mesmerizing display of 2 goals in the season opener, the forward was gestured with the MOTM award. Starting his tally with a 2-goal mark, Lewandowski would have much responsibility to lead the Blaugrana attack force in the long season ahead.
