Rising through the ranks of La Masia Academy, a youngster debuted for the Catalan club on 25th August 2019 against Real Betis. Nobody knew that in the next few months, the youth sensation would become such an integral part of the Blaugrana club that people would perceive him as the next Leo Messi.

A talented right winger by trait, Ansu Fati achieved quick stardom at the Catalan club. Known for his ability to control the ball in tight spaces, added with decent finishing, Fati soon became a fan favorite.

However, what followed next was unthinkable: constant injuries always got the better of the youngster. On top of that, Messi's unceremonious PSG exit forced the responsibilities of the No. 10 jersey on his young shoulders. Fati, unable to live up to Barca's expectations, was loaned out to Brighton ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Possible Destinations:

On 30th June 2024, Fati's loan deal came to an end. After having a mediocre season, inflicted with injuries throughout, the Spaniard returned to the Catalan club. The player hopes to be part of the Pre-season, with slim chances of a club coming for the winger.

However, Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce seems interested in the 21-year-old. Recent reports from Marca suggest that the Portuguese coach wants to sign the forgotten Barca star, conditioned that Flick doesn't count him as part of his new Barca project.

Economics of the Deal:

Ansu Fati had moved to Brighton and Hove Albion for a transfer fee of around £4 million. However, an unsuccessful loan campaign forced the youngster back to the Barca camp, where his contract runs till June 2027.

Valued at around £25 million, according to Transfermarkt, anything around £30 million-£35 million seems enough to convince the Blaugrana club to part ways with him. If Mourinho's side comes with a viable offer, the Catalan Giants mustn't recede them as Barca needs cash flow to fund their dream signings of players like Nico Williams and Mikel Merino.

Hopefully, a possible deal from the Turkish club arrives, providing FC Barcelona the needed cash and Ansu Fati the required game time.
