FC Barcelona has defeated Villarreal at the Ceramica, that too, with an impressive scoreline of 5-1. While coming into the fixture, much speculation was being raised against the Catalan club, who had faced a surprise defeat against Monaco in the UCL opener, but with this statement win, they have continued their dominating La Liga streak.

In fact, apart from the scoreline, what has been the astonishing fact is that Barca boss Flick did it with a much-rotated lineup against Villareal, who has been brilliant this campaign. Once again, Lamine Yamal stood spectacularly, along with brilliant efforts from Raphinha and Lewandowski, that helped them achieve this convincing win.

Unlike the previous fixture, the Blaugrana club had it pre-decided that they would play dominating right from the beginning. Ultimately, Blaugrana number 9, Robert Lewandowski, opened the scoring in the 20th minute, as a brilliant pass from Pablo Torre found him in a perfect place to score.

In fact, not much later, the Polish legend made it 2-0 for the Catalan side with an impressive acrobatic finish. Though moments later, Ayoze Perez pulled one back for Villareal, perhaps the only concerning fact was that Barca's number 1, Ter Stegen, pulled up a severe injury in order to stop an equalizer effort.

Although the German goalkeeper has faced injuries in the past, this time, situations look much more concerning, as reports suggest that this could be a season-ending injury for him. At the stroke of the first half, the German was forced off on a stretcher, after which Flick had to hand the goalkeeping roles to Inaki Pena.

The second half started much enthrallingly; however, the change in the scoreline came as debutant starter Pablo Torre, with an exquisite finish from outside the box, made it 3-1 for the Blaugrana club. Much credit has to be given to the 21-year-old, who, coming in the role of superstars like Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez, stood outstanding, with two goal contributions.

Leading 3-1 already; the rest of the job was done by club captain Raphinha, who scored a brace within 10 minutes to seal the game, 5-1 for FC Barcelona. Barca sensation Lamine Yamal once again showed his class as he assisted the Brazilian forward with an amazing trivela, maintaining his record of at least one goal contribution every game this season.

Overall, apart from Ter Stegen's unfortunate season-ending injury, it was all checkboxes ticked for Hansi Flick's side. With this win, they now move to the complete 18 points from the six La Liga matches, maintaining their perfect win rate and the table-top position in La Liga.
