The summer transfer window has officially ended, with the La Liga action kicking to its very best. While some Spanish clubs had a humongous signing window, FC Barcelona didn't end with many signings, but overall, it proved to be a decent one for the club. Now that the transfer window has ended, Barcelona boss Flick would have to emulate the existing players, maintaining the balance between squad depth and injury concerns.

FC Barcelona's 2024/25 Transfer Window Overview: A look at the club's summer window

Though FC Barcelona had begun the summer transfer window, having high-profile reinforcements for the wing role and defensive midfield options, their needs were amended by the end of the transfer period. In the whole process, the two prominent names the club signed were Barca's dream signing of the window, Dani Olmo, and Barca's preseason find, Pau Victor.

While everyone has become aware of Olmo's heroics, given the Spaniard's sensational La Liga start, marking a goal each in his two games, Pau Victor hasn't got much game time till now. Earlier brought to be a super sub for Lewandowski, Victor hasn't gotten significant game minutes due to the Polish legend's brilliant run of 4 goals in 4 appearances.

Barca's initial priority was reinforcement for the left wing, which they unfortunately couldn't fill in till the end. From Nico Williams to Kingsley Coman to Fede Chiesa to Rafael Leao, many options were looked for the role; however, the club's financial conditions couldn't help the cause. In fact, the Blaugrana club would be happy with Dani Olmo's registration, which they had to complete through Christensen's unavailability.

Not to forget, the departures of various star players have played a significant part in the club's financial improvements, even though the Catalan club didn't reach the 1:1 FFP rule. In the process, Barca had to depart the seasoned veteran, Ilkay Gundogan, for free, sell Julian Araujo for €10M, Faye for €10.3M, and part ways with Vitor Roque and Clement Lenglet temporarily, making space in the club's salary limit.

Overall, although much was promised at the beginning of the summer transfer window and the club ending with just one big signing, Dani Olmo, might sound mediocre, FC Barcelona pulled a great deal in improving their financial situation this summer. Moreover, the kind of form Olmo feels in, combined with Flick's management, makes FC Barcelona feel more than ready to seek major European titles this season.
