Since Barcelona's dream signing, Dani Olmo arrived at the club, it has been imminent that the club needs urgent sales to get close to Olmo's registration, reaching the 1:1 rule. Thus, transfer talks regarding potential departures have been going on at the club as they plan to sell a considerable number of young prodigies apart from Araujo's Bournemouth deal.
Topping the club's shortlist for exit moves have been the names of three young prodigies, Vitor Roque, Mika Faye, and Ansu Fati. Ruling out Fati due to his current injury, there has been significant interest from European clubs in acquiring Mika Faye and Vitor Roque. In particular, the race for Brazilian winger Roque is getting immensely heated, day by day.
La Real joins Everton in the race for Vitor Roque
Not long ago, reports surfaced suggesting Sporting's interest in the young winger and Everton's willingness to finalize Roque's deal, and now a La Liga club has joined the race alongside the two names. According to Diario SPORT, Real Sociedad seems interested in signing Vitor Roque on a permanent deal.
Sources suggest that FC Barcelona wants to permanently sell Vitor Roque; otherwise, a failed loan period could result in the devaluation of the player. Considering the recent outings of the Brazilian winger, chances are high of Barca being stuck with him after a wasted loan deal, and thus, the club stands clear in their choice to sell him for around €30M.
From Barcelona's perspective, they want to close the player's deal as soon as possible to make some salary space for Olmo's registration. Otherwise, it was clear that even if he were to continue at the Catalan club, he wouldn't have gotten much game time, and thus, the deal stands favorable for both Roque's future as well as FC Barcelona.
Recent reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest that Vitor Roque has accepted his fate and will not get significant game time at Barça. To revive his career, Roque has decided to make a move, and regarding the same, the player's agent is in contact with several clubs in Spain. With significant interests for him, the player will certainly end up in a new destination this summer.
Though further updates on Vitor Roque's transfer are yet to arrive, FC Barcelona would want to escalate the deal as much as they can in order to register Dani Olmo.
